Welcome to USNRS Tarlac, the home of all inquiries related to the Philippines past and present. USNRS Tarlac is the physical location of the internment camp utilized to imprison US and Filipino (USAFFE) POWs who survived the Bataan Death March, often referred to as Camp O'Donnell. In the post WWII years, the USAF built a similar transmitter facility adjacent to USNRS Tarlac and misnomered it "Camp O'Donnell". In other words, the USAF Camp O'Donnell is not the WWII (USNRS) that the contributors to this website served at. We are all Navy veterans who served USNRS and our mission is to maintain a living account of our experiences, and particularly those who suffered most and paid the ultimate price during WWII.
